Slum Education Project — Akshaya Vidya
Date of Support: 04 May 2024 Contribution Amount: ₹1,00,000
Glochem is proud to support Akshaya Vidya’s Slum Education Project, which provides evening learning centres (AVLCs) for children living in underserved communities in Hyderabad. These centres offer:
- Academic and Remedial Support to help children stay in school and improve learning outcomes
- Skill Development Sessions that foster critical thinking and personal growth
- Health, Hygiene, and Social Awareness programs for children and their families
- Empowerment and Confidence Building to reduce dropout rates and nurture future potential
Our contribution enabled the establishment and operation of an AVLC, allowing children from slum communities to attend daily evening classes, receive tutoring, and participate in developmental activities. While the exact number of children impacted is being assessed, the initiative continues to make a meaningful difference in promoting education and empowerment.
Mid-Day Meal Programme -
Akshaya Patra Foundation
Date of Support: 17 August 2024 Contribution Amount: ₹3,00,000
Glochem is proud to support the Akshaya Patra Foundation’s schoolmeal initiative, implemented in partnership with the Government of India’s PM POSHAN scheme. This largescale programme delivers daily nutritious mid-day meals to children in government and government-aided schools, helping to:
- Combat Classroom Hunger and improve focus, attendance, and retention
- Address Malnutrition in socioeconomically challenged communities
- Promote Learning Readiness and educational continuity
- Advance the Vision that no child should be deprived of education due to hunger
Our contribution helps scale this impactful programme, which has already served millions of meals across India. By combining nutrition and education, this initiative creates a powerful foundation for long-term social change.
Artisan Empowerment Initiative — The Handloom Future Trust
Date of Support: 26 March 2025 Contribution Amount: ₹5,00,000
Glochem is proud to support The Handloom Future Trust, an organization dedicated to preserving India’s rich handloom heritage while empowering artisan communities. Our contribution helps advance:
- Artisan Welfare and Livelihood Creation through access to resources, training, and market opportunities
- Craft Sustainability and Heritage Preservation by promoting traditional weaving practices
- Rural and Underprivileged Community Support in alignment with CSR priorities under Schedule VII of the Companies Act
- Inclusive Growth and Cultural Continuity by strengthening the handloom sector’s social and economic fabric
This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainable development and cultural preservation, ensuring that traditional crafts continue to thrive while supporting the artisans who keep them alive.
Disaster Management Support — Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation
Date of Support: 13 September 2024 Contribution Amount: ₹3,00,000
Glochem contributed ₹3,00,000 to the Smart Andhra Pradesh Foundation under the CSR thematic area of disaster management, in alignment with the state’s Chief Minister’s Relief Fund framework. This support enables:
- Disaster-Relief Operations and Emergency Response across vulnerable regions
- Preparedness and Resilience Building to strengthen community response capacity
- Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Restoration for affected areas
- Livelihood Recovery and Resource Support for impacted families
This initiative reflects our commitment to community welfare and sustainable recovery, helping Andhra Pradesh build resilience against natural calamities and ensuring timely support for those in need.
Inclusive Education for Slum Communities — Akshaya Vidya

Contribution Amount: ₹2,00,000As part of Glochem’s sustained commitment to inclusive education and community upliftment, we extended a grant of ₹2,00,000 to Akshaya Vidya, an organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children living in urban slum communities across Hyderabad and surrounding areas
This contribution supports the expansion and enhancement of Akshaya Vidya Learning Centres (AVLCs), which serve as safe, nurturing spaces where children receive:
- Academic Support and Remedial Teaching to bridge learning gaps and improve school performance
- Skill Development and Life Skills Training to foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking
- Holistic Development Opportunities, including exposure to arts, values education,and personal growth
- Health, Hygiene, and Social Awareness to promote well-being within families and communities
- Dropout Prevention and Educational Continuity, especially for children facing socioeconomic challenges
By enabling Akshaya Vidya to scale its reach and improve infrastructure, this initiative directly contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of Quality Education (SDG 4), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3).
